i'm seriously stoked about bow season this year.
going to give it a good shot on public lands for the first time. a little worried about getting a deer out though. i think i need to get a drag-mat or something else to get the deer out with. looking at this:

which one is better?
looking at the public land situation, it appears the biggest challenge is going to be to avoid the other hunters. i'll most likely be sleeping in or fishing on the rifle wknds. or maybe give duck hunting a go.

I too will be hunting public land for the first time this year
As far as the drag mats I don't have any experience with them
