Your argument wouldn't hold water because it was not officially ruled a return.

The official play by play lists it as

S.Rocca punt is BLOCKED by M. Wilson, Center - N. Sundberg, RECOVERED by NO - C.Roby at WAS 4. C. Roby for 4 yards , TOUCHDOWN

I can't see this being considered a punt return.

It won't go down in the stats as a punt or a punt return.

Seems like a punt to me

ETA: I dont see how this could be considered a punt return. Just trying to play devils advocate here.

It may not be an official return, but if enough people fought them it could become a public relations disaster for their company.

Eta: doubt that many people actually bought furniture during that period anyways

Id definitely check into it! The play was a punt. It blocked after it left his foot. Roby(the returner) picked it up and took it for a touchdown. I'd tell them i want something extra because a block punt returned for a TD is even less likely!

According to the advertisement I think it should count. The ball came off the punter's foot and was returned for a touchdown by a saints player.

My cousin from Brusly was suppose to win $5000 of furniture from Olindes because the Saints returned a punt for a Touchdown, well now they are not honoring their deal, for future references don't trust or buy anything from them cause they will screw you

Their purchase furniture would be free if saints scored on punt return. Well one punt, one return equals 6 pts. Olindes back peddled and said it was not official. Last time i ckd a punt return was a punt return. Go figure. Olindes is false advertizing. Maybe u should purchase furniture at another co. Thats honors its promos. Just sayin. Help me out ppl. Pass this msg along to your friends. Tks for your support

well, in that advertisement, it says it has to be recorded as an official punt return touchdown by the official scorer, well it was not recorded as an of punt return. So, I believe, the furniture stores are safe.

I would love to see a few videos of customers arguing that it was a punt return

As an attorney, if I could read the wording of the promotion...I'd represent them.

Olindes recently bought all the Ashley stores. At the BR location all of 2 people of the hundreds that signed up called to inquire after the fact. They were informed of the interpertation of the rule and had no problem with it.
