Quick question, I know that if you did this and placed corn on top it is most definitely baiting. Would it still be baiting if you laid down the black visqueen then pour out some corn, rice, whatever then put a layer of clear visqueen on top of that. If there's no chance of the birds actually eating the bait is it still baiting?

seriously why couldn't you just spread out plastic corn kernels. It would just be "decoy" food

Got my answer on the firs premise but I think technically my second idea would be legal.

quote:

By the aid of baiting or on or over a baited area where a person knows or reasonably should know that the area is or has been baited. A baited area is considered to be baited for 10 days after complete removal of any bait. Baiting includes placing, exposing, depositing, distributing or scattering of salt, grain or other feed that could serve as a lure or attraction for migratory game birds to, on, or over areas where hunters are attempting to take them.

Fake Corn...

It should not be that hard to shoot a duck. If you need fake water and fake corn....you need to press the "change of venue" button.

yeah but I mean if ducks are dumb enough to think a plastic sheet is water they might also think that a few strings of yellow/orange mardi gras beads pulled apart into individual beads are corn kernels.

At least it's bigger and deeper than Nascar Fan's pond. Might work!

Had some black 6mil poly sent to the job before because they were out of clear. We had about 12,000 sq.ft of it out and had a couple teal come to it that evening. When you get it laid out it really does look like water
