Definitely, Marshall Faulk. He has to be the best LA RB to come out of the state. If he had been a prospect now, there is no way we would have been hard headed enough to say, "We only see you as a DB." He would have had his chance at RB.

the only negative i see if faulk would have come to lsu, is it would have saved hallmans a$$ for a few more years. so probably no dinardo, therefore probably no saban. but on the other hand , he would have been huge.

I agree
This really changed the face of our program(atleast our offensive production) for about 4 years. We are still dealing with it. Having to break in a new QB this year.

In my mind he is the best complete running back in NFL history. That's just an opinion but as a combination receiver and runner I don't think anybody was better. He could have played receiver in the NFL and made a career doing it. Marshall wasn't to shabby in college either.
