My best friend growing up and I are both heading to Baton Rouge for the Idaho game to show our little boys what the LSU game experience in Tiger Stadium is all about. We used to go to the games together with our parents (season ticket holders) when we were kids, and want to share it with our boys. When you ask my 17-month old son, "What do Tigers do?" he raises his arms in the air and says "TOUCHDOWN!" Anyway, not having been to a game in far too long, I need some advice on game logistics. When do the team & band come down Victory Hill? Is it best to drive or take a shuttle bus? We won't really have tailgating equipment since we're flying in from DC, but could get some basic stuff I suppose if someone can suggest where to tailgate and purchase parking? I would be grateful for any advice! We are sooooo excited to see the Tigers in Death Valley - even if it is just against Idaho/YouDaHo! Thanks, all!

My suggestions are:
Take a bus to LSU to avoid the parking nightmare. $4.00 roundtrip from 4 different pickup spots. You can get to campus at 2:15, leaving time to watch the team come down the hill at 3:50 and the band at 4:40. Or, you could go to the TAF tailgate in the PMAC at 2:30. Or, just walk around taking in the sights and sounds.

TAF tailgate

tell me more about this.

How many people can get in with me if I am the only member?

We dont really have a tailgate hookup and it would be nice to have a place to sit a few minutes and get a beverage before victory hill etc.

One member plus one guest. You can get temporary membership passes from the PMAC ticket office the day of the game.

As long as one person in your group is a TAF member, they will let your group in. I've gone in with 6 or more just showing my TAF card and never a problem.

When my son was little,we'd ask "What do LSU Tigers eat?" He'd reply "RAZORBACK PIG!" I have a lot of relatives and in-laws from Arkansas. Enjoy your weekend.

LSU Alumni association members can now also go into the TAF tailgate. It's now a joint Tailgate. This is the first year they've partnered on the event
