SIAP - i searched and looked through 3 pages of thread titles...

Apparently Tyler Hamilton is spilling the beans on everything. He says he took PEDs along with Armstrong. Said Lance kept the blood in his refrigerator. Also - a worker was paid to ride int he races on motorcycle and would apparently give them drinks that had the blood enhancers in it...

Crazy shite

quote:

AUSTIN, Texas - Tyler Hamilton says Lance Armstrong gave him an illegal blood booster before the 1999 Tour de France and that the teammates took blood transfusions together during the cycling race the following year.

Is this one of the guys who got off Scott free in exchange for snitching on Armstrong?

I believe Armstrong took PEDs just not sure how much I believe this evidence he did it.

but but but... This whole thing is just a witch hunt

Lance obviously doped, along with everyone else. Its too bad they couldn't hold off a couple months so he could have raced Kona

Hamilton is banned for 8 year. Christian Vande Velde and Dave Zabriski were outed for doping yesterday by their team and were likely testifying against Lance

Not sure... plus he's selling a book so you've got to be a bit skeptical.

I personally believe Lance used PED's but I dont really care.

Tyler Hamilton's been saying that for a decade. He was caught doping in the early 00s and has been stripped of his third place Tour finish and all of his stage victories. If memory serves, he was never on the Postal team in the Tour with Lance (he might've been once but I think he got left off the Tour team). Most of his career was spent on rival teams.

Just saying. This allegation from this source is a decade old.

and, I don't see how this is anything more than what they had on Lance before. A bunch of losers who couldn't beat him saying he cheated. that's all they have.

I dont think they had a teammate admit that they doped together. Nor did they ever identify a support staffer who was feeding them enhanced drinks during the races. Apparently when Lance was running out of steam there was a signal that was sent back to the staffer and they would bring him the drink..

Not necisarily true that he never failed a test. The UCI reportedly covered up a failed test in Switzerland in 2001 and USADA reportedly has a positive on him

Yes, they have. This exact teammate. A decade ago. When he got busted for doping. Not once, not twice, but three times.

And I'm a huge Tyler Hamilton fan. We're talking about a guy who didn't drop out of the tour when he broke his collarbone but did drop out when his dog died.

These accusations have been going on for some time. Just because the allegations change slighty, doesn't mean they are new.

"reportedly". He has never actually failed a drug test. If he had, his legacy would have been history a long time ago. These "reported" failures are the same as his teammates accusations. Just accusations without any evidence. There's evidence that he's passed more than 500 drug tests. There's zero evidence that he's failed even one.

Yea guess I forgot about that....

Why do you guys think didnt respond to the sanctions and just let his titles get stripped?

Hamilton, along with Amrstrong's other U.S. Postal teammates (eg. Hincappie, Andreu, Vaughters, etc.) were called before the grand jury to testify. Apparently, all of them spilled the beans, because the Feds don't like it when you lie to them. The difference is that Hamilton and Vaughters are repeating what they told the grand jury. Hamilton claims he was willing to take his secrets to his grave if he hadn't been called before the grand jury.

I think this whole thing has really hurt cycling more than Armstrong. People either don't think he did it because he never got caught, or they don't care because of any number of reasons. USADA looks bad for continuously going after this guy and failing every step of the way.

At least that is my perception.

This is what kind of pisses me off the most. I wanted to see what he could do in a full tri.

You'd think that science would've caught up with the cheaters by now and they'd be able to determine if his samples from a decade ago were dirty or not.
