A&M
FSU
LSU
Ohio St
Texas
UF
UGA
USC

Alphabetical order (obviously). Mainly because these programs don't have to recruit nationally. Anymore that should be added?

Not including Notre Dame and Alabama in that kind of makes me think you don't know what you're talking about.

Both of those jobs have an almost unlimited amount of cash available for their HC's use.

That's a combined 23 AP/BCS national championships.

Alabama (1961, 1964, 1965, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009, 2011) and Notre Dame (1943, 1946, 1947, 1949, 1966, 1973, 1977, 1988) have a combined 16 AP/BCS national championships. You really have no idea what you're doing if you don't include them.

Notre Dame and Alabama don't have to recruit nationally. Their name alone usually recruits for them.

IMO.

CMR could go 0-10 and I still think he would have a job.

I wouldn't say Bama has to recruit nationally. They do quite well in the region. As UF continues to decline they will also get more of the elite Florida guys who want to try something different instead of playing for a brainless idiot.

I admit I'm no CFB guru but if I could pick any head coaching job it would be FSU.

1) Great recruiting

2) one of only two major public school FB programs in a very highly populated state

3) In the south (CFB country) but NOT in the killer SEC. Should be at least 9-2 every season

OK experts show me where I'm wrong

Phil Fulmer and Houston Nutt have a sweet gig. Collecting buyout $ and not having to get out of bed if they don't want to.

CFB coaches get paid to recruit, and the surrounding environments of these schools allow for top recruiting classes on a year-in and year-out basis. Additionally, these schools are willing to pay top coaches their market price.
