I ushered as a Boy Scout back in the 60's. You would carry some guys fifth of bourbon up the stairs, show them the seats and they would tip you.
In the 70's as student, your student id had a hole punched in it and admission was part of the fees/tuition.
As I recall, games started at 7:30...not 8.

early 80's I would make $200 before halftime getting students drinks from concession stand. They also had a pregame party before the game that WLCS radio station hosted. I think it started at 4.
