Entergy loses money every second you are out of power, but you are right, they are milking this for everything it is worth.

seemingly most companies insure their losses, and after Katrina they charged customers more to offset their losses.
So, i don't know how much they will actually lose when its all said and done.

That said its easy to sit in BR right now, while we sit in the dark in the states largest parish.


Seriously why the frick are there so many trolls and such on this board who have nothing at all to do with the storm or recovery?

We need to wait until the State's investigation reveals all of the facts. I have heard where it is possible that Entergy skimped on routine maintenance over time and saved some money that way. I have heard that they won't lose money due to hurricane power outages because of insurance payments.

My feeling is that once the facts are in, Entergy is going to look pretty bad.
