There's a place in Luther gramercy area that makes great twists. Forgot the name though.

Don't know if you found your answer but (The Sweet Shop? Maybe) on Railroad avenue is pretty much the only place that sells them now. It's a new place, not sure if that's the correct name of it or not. They also have legit breakfast. Eggs, bacon, and what not.

New place on railroad avenue is j and k's gourmets.... Really nice lady named KaTina owns the place. She is the kind of person that deserves to do well.

I taught school in D'ville many years ago and I definitely remember Chefs Fried Chicken. I used to get roast beef poboys at Dimms. Those poboys were really good. I was teaching one of the Dimm boys when he was killed in an awful car accident. I think the mother and a couple of her boys were killed in the accident. D'ville is an okay town, but they sure like to gossip about each other. Does that town still have separate swimming pools? They used to have a pool for the whites and a pool for the blacks. The school even had separate proms and graduation parties. I can still hear the expression, back of town.

I taught at Lowery in the 70's and 80's. That school had some pretty good teachers and some pretty bad ones. One of my favorites during my time there was Ms. Haymond. That lady is a class act.

I heard from several friends of mine in D'ville that Dunkin Donuts is looking at D'ville to open up a shop there. They said that Dunkin was going to target the plant workers and be opened 24 hours. They said that the shop would be near the Sunshine Bridge area. Leave it to a chain to figure out what a local should have figured out years ago, when donut markets were scarce in D'ville.

Had a friend open one up a couple years ago in Dville but couldn't make it. Terrible hours and couldn't find any good help.
Sunshine bridge would be a great spot with all the traffic bypassing Dville from La 70.
