Questions about Breaking Bad - Looking for answers

1. Is Walter White supposed to be still teaching at the high school? Or is he on a sabbatical? What does Hank and Marie think he does?
2. Where does the IRS think Walter and Skyler got the money for buying the car wash? I forgot how they made that into a legitimate business purchase? Obviously they could not have told the IRS the money came from illegal gambling earnings.

Hank and Marie think he is a Car Wash Owner

Don't think they have investigated. That was the point of paying off Ted, so they wouldn't dig into Skylar's business. They may have mentioned something about it, but I can't recall.

How does a Chemistry teacher and a stay at home mom come up with $700k or whatever it was to buy the car wash?

As for what he does now, I don't think they care. Hank/Marie are under the impression that he made quite a bit of money playing poker. I'm sure they think that he doesn't really need to work with the money he made + the car wash intake.

I don't think the series has ever divulged on that. I'm sure they would have gotten advice from Saul before doing whatever, so I don't think that the IRS is an issue now. Now if Wal starts making crazy bank again, I'm sure money laundering will be an issue again since a single car wash won't make that much money.

I don't remember their story for paying for the car wash. I remember when they were first looking for a way to launder their money Saul talked about their initial money as seed money. I'm sure he had a story ready to turn attention away from that. We've seen Saul "kill off" aunts before. Maybe something along those lines. That's a good question, though, and I don't remember the answer.

Walt Jr started a website to raise money for Walt's medical bills. The story Walt told everyone was he used that money to gamble and made even more. I think they said they raised about $200k from the website.

The IRS does not "think" anything. They look at tax returns. Do you "tell" the IRS every time you buy something?
