The New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms with Greg Camarillo on a one-year contract according to his agent JR Rickert. Camarillo was with the Minnesota Vikings for the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Prior to Minnesota, Camarillo was also with the Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers. The 6 year pro has 142 career catches for 1,686 yards and 5 TD’s. He trained this off-season with Saints’ QB Drew Brees in anticipation of an offer from a new club.

I remember reading that he has the best hands in the NFL as he's never had a drop in his career.
but I read that like 2 years ago

interesting...would like to see what he can do with a decent qb. He's had a lot of injuries if I recall but he had some talent for sure.

he was solid in 08 and 09, not sure why we need him though

In the 2009 NFL season, Camarillo did not drop a single pass thrown to him, earning him a reputation as a safe pair of hands in a pinch.

Why?
He's the reason we're stuck with Darren Sproles.

I think he was the WR who dropped a 3rd down pass from Favre in the 2010 season opener on Thursday night that would have extended the Vikings drive and put them in a position to beat us late in the 4th quarter.
ETA - it wasn't really a horrible "drop" on the play I was thinking of - the WR laid out and got both hands on Farve's pass at around the Saints' 20 yard line but couldn't come up with it. Does anybody else remember this? I think they punted and we ran out the clock.

you probably just remember it because of your strong minnesota roots

I remember it because I was one of the few people who had the earlier point spread of Saints -4.5 and so I won my bet because of their missed XP. Most Saints fans had either -5 or -5.5 and pushed or lost.
I've probably had about 10 football bets decided by a missed extra point in my gambling career, and I think that was the only 1 of the 10 that the miss worked out in my favor. Shitty how that works.
