Joe Benny Corona has been starting and playing exceptional well as a left sided midfielder for Xolos in the Copa Libertadores. Maybe, just maybe, Klinsmann will call him and actually play him.

Possibly but the podcast I listened to yesterday Jurgy is very high on Shea right now, he's making the most of his minutes at Stoke and I bet Jurgy calls him in and starts him wide left for the Costa Rica game. Jurgy also is dead set on the Jones/Bradley combo in the midfield and said with time if they learn to play together and can grasp the concept that when one pushes forward the other holds that he would love to play without a true 6... The thought of that scares me

I haven't seen Corona play, so I'm not comfortable commenting on his prospects as a starter. But I am comfortable in saying that Jones and Bradley are easily our two best central midfielders, leaving either out of the starting 11 is unacceptable.

I'm not as down on Jones as this board tends to be. I do recognize his penchant for untimely bookings, but the drop off in talent after Jones is enough that he's worth the risk.
