I understand we're all disappointed. I completely get that. I also understand that many of you have written him off - again, I get it.

However - all he did was make plays for us. By all reports, he is a good person. He is going through some tough times for which he is primarily responsible. His personal foilables have cost him already, and could cost him much, much more.

If you have written him off - fine - that's your business. If you think the OP is an idiot for wanting to reach out to another human being and express support - maybe it is time for you to look in the mirror, remember some of your worst days and ask yourself, "Do I want to be judged solely by my actions on my 20 or 30 worst days? Or do I want people judging me to know the whole story?" And even if a 20-year old kid appears irredeemable, what is the harm is saying, "Thanks for all those plays man. I enjoyed watching you and good luck!"

Is humanity and decency dead in the 21st Century?

Humanity and decency will live on if good people stand up and represent these qualities. I support your sentiments. Any show of support in this trying time and appreciation for his efforts as a Tiger, would be appropriate IMHO. I know if I was in his shoes, I would appreciate genuine support.
