A couple were broken. What is even more disturbing is that HBO press release called Trystane the heir to Dorne which is completely wrong on all levels. However, some of you who hated the Quentyn storyline are apparently getting your wish about him being written out of the show. The no Arianne casting news is doubly disturbing, but I can't see how she would be completely written out of the show as she is a pretty main character that appears to be getting a bigger part in the Winds of Winter. Just a bit bizarre.

GRRM said at Comic-Con today that Jeyne Westerling is in the prologue of tWoW.
Two things.
One I wonder who the prologue pov is of? Blackfish? Jeyne herself?
And secondly so did D&D really frick up by killing Jeyne off on the tv show?

Maybe Jeyne herself so GRRM can kill her off? I don't know

I don't think so. They'll come up with some ancillary character to explain it away or never address it begin with

The prologues and epilogues in the books seem to be more anecdotal and philosophical... Also, some unimportant character always gets whacked in those chapters.

My money is on Sybell Spicer getting hung from a tree. Would be too sweet.
Just to refresh everyone's memory. Future King of Kingslayers and golden handed Jamie Lannister has tasked Forley Prester with escorting Jeyne, Sybell and her other children back to the Crag to be with their father. Jeyne's brother Raynald is presumed dead because he jumped in the river at the Red Wedding after freeing Grey Wind

Awesome.
ETA: For those of you who don't remember, he was Keira Knightley's father in Pirates, the a-hole in What a Girl Wants, and the villain in Tomorrow Never Dies.

I think he's been my favorite casting choice so far.
Why haven't they announced who is playing Victarion/Euron/Damphair and Darkstar, Arianne, Faegon, and JonCon?? Are they keeping those under wraps like they attempted to do with Leaf and Bloodraven last year? Oh and I'd love to see who is playing Randyl Tarly.

I could care less about the World of Ice and Fire. How can he have time for this shite when he's finishing Winds of Winter? oh yeah, he can't.
Finish the book.
Finish the book.

Jonathan Pryce is a well known British actor and he's been in a lot of movies...per IMDb I've seen about 10 of the movies he's been in, obviously POTC being what he's most well known for. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see more fairly well-known actors get cast.
FWIW I'm not crazy about the Sandsnake casting at all. Is it me or do they all look too Asian-y? And not cute at all?

they could have done way better.
As I've stated previously, Jammal's wife from Tyrant would have been a solid sand snake.

Yeah, Obara looks fine, but the other two are pretty weird castings.

He's best known for Brazil most likely, at least among folks that have seen it. But yeah, he's a fairly large actor for a role like the High Sparrow. Makes me wonder if they plan on expanding the role a bit. He's a great fit either way for the part though.
He made a great bad guy in Ronin, and plays an excellent douche.

I certainly can't speak for everyone here but I for one am pumped about the world of ice and fire. I love rich, lived in universes but I loved the silmarillon so what do I know?

Sorry
Just every time you turn around he's working on something other than the next book. Just tired of waiting.,I guess the show will pass it.

Keisha-Castle Hughes was nominated for an Academy Award when she was 13 but she hasn't done much lately. I'm sure she'll be a good Obara. The other two are weird casting choices for sure.
I'm really looking forward to Jonathan Pryce as the High Sparrow. Honestly, I loved the scenes that Charles Dance had with Lena Headey and was worried about losing him from the show after Tywin's death...but I'm thinking the Jonathan and Lena scenes will fill that void for sure.
