I'm wondering too. Didn't want to say anything because I figured I missed something major.

May be germans, but i just read that GRRM will be writing the 7th episode of Season 3, and it will be titled "Autumn Storms". I may be just out of it, but what do y'all think this is referring to?

The red wedding happens before Joffrey's right? Probably what its referring too if I'm right.

Correct. It goes Tyrion/Sansa, RW, PW.
My thoughts:
I think episode 7 is too early for RW. I feel like Autumn Storms is when Jon climbs the wall and he and Bran's stories overlap (Queenscrown), Dany buys Unsullied, and Balon's death. It will set up the RW in episode 9 as well. Season 3 will have RW in episode 9, then aftermath in episode 10 as well as Jon's imprisonment by Slynt.
Season 4 will have PW halfway through, episode 7's cliffhanger will be Oberyn volunteering as Tyrion's champion, 8 will be viper vs mountain, 9 or 10 will have Tyrion's escape and Tywin's assassination.
I really hope that's how it plays out. I just don't want the show to lose viewers after RW

You've thought about this more than me

Yep. I just read y'all's and Belles posts and was like, Carson is puffing on the good ganja right now. If so...

I believe it'll be the lead up to the Red Wedding. Sansa and Tyrion's wedding maybe? Jon climbing the Wall? I would be shocked if they put the Red Wedding into play that early but you do have GRRM writing and one of Breaking Bad's directors directing it too. That said, MacLaren is also directing the 8th episode.
I suspect the Red Wedding is episode 8 or 9 though. They won't want to make it the cliffhanger because of the shock value (I could see people giving up on the show all together) and will want some kind of follow up to it before the season concludes (like Ned' death).

but it also seems like GRRM writes the big episode of every season. He wrote blackwater I could definitely see him writing the red wedding episode.

Not exactly.
The episode he wrote in Season 1 was more build up then "big" (The Pointy End). DB Weiss and David Benioff wrote "Baelor" where Ned loses his head.
I think we see something similar here.

Oh damn. Guess I was wrong I've been thinking he wrote Baelor this whole time.

No way the RW is the last episode. Too many broken TV's across the land.

I agree. That's why I put it at 9. I think some people would give up on the show. I hope PW is in the middle of S4 just so everyone is pleasantly surprised

Some people may see the red wedding coming in advance but NO ONE should see the Purple Wedding if they do it right.
Posted on 9/24/12 at 8:35 pm to CottonWasKing
Exactly. That's the idea. Im hoping they set it up that way. I hope my dad doesn't call the RW. He called Ned Stark dying after episode 3

I absolutely must watch the purple wedding episode with dad. That episode may make the man happier than when the Saints won the Superbowl
