What do you think is some of the most badass or gangster song intros? I've always thought the intro to Alice In Chains Junkhead was pretty badass

Slayer-Raining Blood
Slayer-Seasons in the Abyss
The vibe in the building when they play these songs live is unlike any other band I've seen.

me and beezylsu saw them at HOB in nola. to see that band in a place that small is insane.
devil driver opened up for them, (i think, they might have opened up for the children of bodom opeth show), and hold back the day is really a great intro.
i used to be into dimmu borgir and puritania has a great intro. LINK
ETA: forgot about old mans child - black seeds on virgin soil

I saw Slayer twice at the HOB. Those were some intense pits.

was it thine eyes bleed and snot that opened for slayer back in ~2004? i thought devil driver was in there somewhere.
i had a run of a few years that i saw nearly every metal show that i could afford, so everything under top billing runs together.

Snot broke up in the late 90s after their singer died. I don't think they ever got back together. The show in 2004 was with Killswitch Engage and Mastodon. Thine Eyes Bleed opened for LOG there in 2006. It was an off date from the Unholy Alliance tour where they were all opening for Slayer.

i saw slayer on the next tour in dallas when manson opened up for them. it was a weird slayer show, eyes of war was being pushed hard and they were being really political. kind of an odd crowd for slayer as well. manson was great. had no idea what kind of a show he put on.

The 2006 show was LOG, Children of Bodom, and Thine Eyes Bleed, no Slayer. The full tour had Slayer and Mastodon and came to Houston.

I'll say that All ALong the Watchtower has an outstanding intro as well.
A newer one, that grabs your attention so much because of the intro
Welcome Home - Coheed and Cambria
