I was 6 though.
At some point I realized it wasn't gonna happen.
Mo should follow my lead.

yeah but Mo's had this dream since her soccer eligibility ran out and she was out of opportunities to get on TV.

I'll never buy that her motives are because it's been a dream of hers to play college football. I feel like she's using the publicity to garner attention for other things. That's why it's annoying and needs to stop. We have a national title contender, and I'd rather hear people in the media talk about things pertinent to who will actually play rather than a chick trying to be the 5th string kicker. She's never going to make the team. Les made that clear in March. The same guys that were there in March are still there now, and all of them have been working out all summer just as much (prob more) as she has.

Exactly. If she's getting her name out there to spread god's word, or she's getting her name out there to make an Erin Andrews sized contract, I don't care. It'll be over in a week, makes our coach look like an awesome guy, and she chases a dream. I don't care. If she somehow makes it...then wow....she has the same chance of Shep throwing a pass as she does kicking an extra point in a 63-3 pasting of Towson.

but see, we went through all this last spring. it looks like a circus now. and les really has no choice in the matter. he can't tell her "no you can't try out." his ONLY option is to give a generic complimentary sound byte to appease the media and cut her. even if he was an a-hole, it would be retarded from a PR standpoint to do it any other way. I'm annoyed by it because it makes the football team look bush league. I'm just glad we haven't had to hear as much about it this year yet with all the practices being closed. It's also just annoying that it's actually a story. I mean she got on the Ellen show and various other talk shows for going to an open tryout and getting cut. Her real athletic career as a soccer player is actually compelling and heart warming. I wish she'd just leave it at that.

We're no lower than #2 in any poll, people are on our jock, and talking plenty about who's gonna be on the field.

My first answer applies here too.

She probably reached farther than most anyone ever tries in life. More power to her.
