LEADERBOARD
The season's final major.
Glory's last shot.
This year the tournament will be held at Kiawah Island's Ocean Course. Kiawah has never hosted a major but this course is routinely rated one of the top in the country. Considered Pete Dye's masterpiece, even more so than Sawgrass.
The course will play over 7600 yards for the Championship. I am really looking forward to this tournament and venue, much more than the usual PGA Championship.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and take Tiger.

I wouldn't..he's perfected the art of choke these last few weeks.
Seems like there is too much competition now to just take Tiger.

I love that course, it has kicked my arse though.
I was there a few weeks ago they are packing stands and shite in there.

I don't see him winning at Kiawah. His game's too inconsistent.

I'm as big of a Tiger guy as anyone but I just don't think this course fits him really well. I think he'll be top 10, but I think this course puts too much stress on the driver for him to win.

Wow, can't believe it's already coming up next week.

That's a great shot.
Rounds 1 & 2 will be on TNT, right?

Hasn't hosted one of the 4 majors, but hosted a Ryder Cup in 91. USA won that one.

Yep, and they will have early morning coverage for a couple of hours on Saturday & Sunday.

Is this course the host of one the regular hawaiian PGA events held in January?
If so, it would be interesting to know who has a history of playing well there.

I am really pumped about this PGA. It's the first time a major is being played at a course I've also played. I really don't know how they are planning on getting the people in there. When I played, I was told not to venture into the dunes looking for balls because of snakes and other wildlife. Well, that's where I'd expect people to have to watch the tournament.
Also, I really don't like Tiger this week. He's putting horribly on greens he's intimately familiar with this week, and he admitted he's only putted the type of greens at Kiawah once before in his life. It's a special type of grass able to withstand salt water that I saw described as Bermuda without grain. I'm picking Dufner as an early favorite.

I will be very interested to see what they do with the spectators as well. I'll be out there Monday and or Tuesday for practice rounds, so I'll post some pictures of what they do. Should be a fun week.

Didn't they shoot The Legend of Baggar Vance there?
