Completely agree about Eastwood. I like Javier Bardem, but he was totally wrong for the role.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt would make a great Eddie.

How many of you have read the series?
I recently finished it, and I must say, it's not nearly as epic as I expected, and not nearly as good. Sure, some of the books are pretty good, and some of the things that happen in them are DAMN good. but taken as a whole, the series is no better than a 7 out of 10. King sets up this epic ending, and then fumbles the ball on the 1 yard line. And I'm not even talking about the "Ending Ending". Even if you stop when he starts warning you to read no further, the ending is lackluster.
The sad part is, some of the story is SO good that you can sense there's an incredible story waiting there, right around the corner. King just never quite gets there.
3:10 to Yuma makes me thing Crowe as Roland, although not ideal, will work. And JGL as Eddie is good too. How about Zoe Saldana for Susannah?
