No disrespect to Reid, he is one of my favorite Tigers on this team, so no flame. Just wondering what must Eric Reid accomplish to be remembered as one of the best

^This. Just watch. Steltz was a great player and Reid will follow suit.

No disrespect to Craig, because he was one of my favorite players on the 2007 team, but Reid has a more successful pro career IMO.

Steltz was damn good

Exactly.
And it's not just about stats with Reid.
He is the smartest player on the field.

Exactly.....it's definitely a "duh" comment to say, but without him sniffing out that trick play in November, 9-6 would def have gone another way.

Eric Reid will start on Sundays. Steltz is a special teams player and backup. Stat's don't tell the entire story.
Steltz wasn't as good as Laron.
Reid
Laron

I had that thought too until I looked at the number of games he started.
I also agree stats are not everything but just imagine Reid recording >31 Tackles For a Loss in two seasons..

By "to be remembered as one of the best," i meant as a LSU Tiger, not NFL player.

I'm not a Laron hater like some tards on this board, but Steltz was better imo.

Reid has more natural ability and is a better athlete. Steltz was more of a coach on the field, more cerebral player.

Reid is mensa member compared to Steltz.

Reid has this part as well.
Also, when comparing these 2 guys you have to consider the system that each played in.

Reid is better than steltz IMO. And that's saying a lot. I think he is the most underrated player we have.

Steltz was consistent, if not the most accountable player on that team. Reid has a bright bright future but wont top Steltz's numbers.

Well I do remember against uga when Eric chewed Tharold's arse out for missing that coverage on that pass that their receiver dropped in the end zone.
