T or F: Option packages built in for Bolden

It may not happen until like the 3rd or 4th week of the season, but do you think Les has built in option packages for Bolden similar to what JJ did before taking over in the Bama game last year?
I don't mind that so much, as long as it doesn't frick up the flow of the game.
Here is what I fear though, as we all know Les' propensity for single threat (running) QBs:
1. Mett does force some throws and picks are just a part of his game. The yards and TDs should outweight the INTs though.
2. When Mett throws a few picks in a key SEC game, Bolden will get a few series. (see 11/5/11)
3. bolden's playing time will grow from there.
4. Bama game rolls around and Bolden pisses himself like he did in 2010.
The fan base would have a total melt down and especially be pissed knowing that bolden is the QB heading into 2013.
My hope is that he is just here to add depth in case Mett goes down. Not saying he can't be a good player, but to throw for 39% and 2 td to 7 int in the Big 10 is just awful. Give me JJ over that any day of the week. Hopefully Mett is here for 2 years and Rettig/Jennings can take over. If Bolden starts for LSU at any point that isn't due to injury, then we are in a bad way.

I trust it is for added depth only.

I mean, are Rivers/Randall that bad to where Les has to go get this guy?

No, just experience is what I think.

Its a depth move, dude.
The option package will be for Randall. If we use it..well..that's a different question.

They are freshmen.

I agree. The option shite seems to disrupt things. It worked out in '07, but often times it does not work out.
It's like when something goes good for Les, he keeps trying it over and over until it fricking sucks.
Case in Point:
Beat Auburn in '07 with :01 left. From that point on, Les tried to time the clock just right and sometimes fricked us out of a score. (UT '10, UM '09)
Case 2: Ran option well with RP. From that point on JJ was forced to be something he was not.

1 qb for the tigers unless Mett get hurts!

Looks to me like Les has found JJ's replacement.

I am all about this. Bolden is insurance. Plain and simple.

I'm hoping it's just insurance in case MEtt gets hurt adn Rivers/Randall suck. I don't see why Bolden should get a shot over Rivers/Randall.

Rivers/Randall shouldn't care. They need this time to learn and progress. I wouldn't want them out there at this point in their careers. They have plenty of time.
QB is unlike any other position in college. A good qb only needs 2 seasons to make it to the NFL. That's what they will be fighting for. Bolden, if anything, is coming in and should help both of them prepare for their time to takeover.

he is not a running QB. End of story.

mett is better than lee so im not worried about bolden taking over.
this is a pure insurance move just incase mett was to go down so we at least have a qb with game experience

Look lets be real here. Les obviously had some sort of promise he was keeping with Jefferson. It was obvious and a rare circumstance. Oh and he had nudes as well.
This is for depth purposes and I support it.

Seriously? even though he didn't run much in his career at PSU, he was rated a top DUAL threat QB. That roughly translates to "he's a runner first, passer 2nd". Les will definitely try to peg this guy as a "want to have mobility at the QB position."
