He obviously has eaten too often in New Orleans and Acme is better than Reef in Houston, but certainly not the best Seafood Restaurant in New Orleans. An inaccurate article without a doubt!

some of those Yankee places (not the Maine ones) look pretty gross imo

Just got back from Seattle and I have to say the Crab Pot is pretty amazing.

Well, to be fair, you can't be a local everywhere across the country. However, it would only take asking a few locals to find a better place.

And see, people read stuff like this and follow the advice when they visit a place. Then they wonder why LA doesn't blow everything else out of the water.

Who puts a lot of stock in second hand information.
Decent marketing can get you listed in these "best of" categories easier than great food.

When I travel I always ask the locals for the best places to eat. I don't rely on "Internet bias" because there are so many misleading variables like the above.

It's fairly common to "stuff the ballot box" when it comes to internet reviews and ratings.

There must be a reason why this place is still in business. I don't care who the clients are whether locals or tourists. It's obviously successful. I guess some people hate it for that.

Pretty wide selection of good food (and all at a decent price)....and I don't even eat oysters. Everything I've ever had at Acme was tasty.
Is it fine dining? Of course not....But for their price point and atmosphere and variety, it's pretty hard to beat.

Are you saying it's the best seafood restaurant i'n New Orleans? Yes or no.

I've eaten at the Lobster Shack in Ogunquit, Maine.
Maine is the shite. Love it.
Kennebunkport made the list too. The Bush estate there is pretty neat.

No, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be. If fact, my last time there back in February I had some of the best fried and raw oysters in several years.
