Bama is the school that's getting a hose job by Clemson. Little Nicky and his psycho alum will turn Clemson in soon enough.

I would rather see highly regarded DL's or any players at any position choose Clemson than 'Bama, Florida or other SEC schools. You can't sign them all. Sometimes we need to acknowledge that there are other top notch recruiters out there, like Dabo Sweeney. So far, he has not translated that recruiting success to huge success on the field, so if he can hang on to the likes of Pagano and Nkemniche, we'll see how he fares.

LSU has quite an impressive haul of DL's so far, with players like Tim Williams still being recruited, so it is still going to be a great group of DL recruits for Coach Miles.

We accuse Saban of being dirty but yet at the same time we believe he was clean at LSU?

Why would anyone suspect he was dirty at LSU? It's got to be easy to recruit a championship team to a school that had losing records in 7 years of the decade prior to your arrival.

Seems pretty obvious now that he decided on Clemson a long time ago. Just wanted to see the sights. Fla. and LSU were apparently never anything more than a sight seeing trip. I doubt money was a factor in his recruiting. Others yes but probably not Pagano.

Very True. Nobody even knew who Benny Logan was until after his senior year. He came out of no where and now is probably our best DT.

I don't feel like we missed on much here. Congrats to Clemson, assuming that everything is legit. Clemson is having to compete with an improved South Carolina program, so there is a ton of pressure for them to pull in some good classes. Not sure exactly what they are doing to achieve that, but it sure is working. I must say, however, that it SEEMS fishy.

Why? Clemson has been a solid football program historically and is on the rise again.

Clemson has had a solid program but it doesn't size up to LSU or Bama especially for a defensive player. If you play on defense and want to go to the NFL LSU and Bama are no brainers.

LSU and Alabama also have more depth and competition. Clemson can still offer early time (especially on D where they had problems) as they are rebuilding to a higher level again. There is nothing fishy about them getting quality players. Early playing time is the #1 priority for most recruits according to polls.

Is early playing time always better? A legit defensive player from Bama or LSU is a very high chance of going to the pros. Not that it can't be done at Clemson.

You should be happy Pagano did not commit to LSU.

He is a project, and will need at least two years of coaching to possibly being a contributor.

Much better and much more polished DL possibilities for LSU than Pagano.

I had written him off to Florida weeks ago. I think him going to Clemson is fine.

The only difference is LSU and Bama send more players to the NFL. An exceptional player will get drafted from ANY school. Clemson cranks out plenty of NFL players.
