One of my friends dad owns it and I was talking to him about it a couple of weeks ago. He said there are plans to eventually put a marina, shops, and restaurants there, but who knows if or when it will happen.

I think they are using government money to do all of the foundation, site and prep work for the auto ferry across Lake Pontch to the south shore.
When that venture fails, your friends dad will have a perfectly prepped site at taxpayer expense to then build the marina, shops and restaurants.

I though the ferry idea was scrapped? Maybe because I have not heard anything about it lately.

Father-in-law owns it. Will probably have marina with several condos and apartments. It will also have some stores and shops. Plans are not complete. The commuter boat project will never come to fruition.

Yeah, why the hell would anyone want to wake up extra early to take longer to make it across the lake? It would probably take at least an extra hour or 2 out of your day to make it to work

They have been crushing concrete to sell as road base material.
