Your missing my point. Of course racism exist outside the south. I m saying that if you would be honest to say that a good majority of LSU's fans feel like this guy .

The only thing i was trying to say that if Tyran Mathieu worked at Albertsons , it would be different. I mainly was saying how much of an anomaly that hundreds of thousands of people could cheer for a dude they are the exact opposite of.

How many Thugs have you seen at a Garth Brooks show? Wont happen. Tyrans situation is the opposite of that. Thats all I was saying. Politics aside, its merely a social observation

I knew what video that was immediately. These types are all over the grounds on game day. Hell they're all over Baton Rouge and I cannot stand any of them. Infuriates me to where I can't bear to be around anyone who is an LSU fan.

You're right as well, I agree with what you're saying.

Look, I'm not trying to be a dick, but I am so confused, due to the grammar, here.

Are you really saying that a good majority of LSU fans feel like that guy that just got ambush-journalized?

Do you really think we all feel that way?

Well, he said "good majority" and I don't think he is too far off. BUT, there are people like that all across America.

LSU was around long before Tyrann and will be around long after. We've been respected because we did things the right way and as a team. I don't need to see or hear him talking trash after every single play on national television making LSU look like a Thug U. One of my best memories is beating Miami 40-3, the last thing I want to see is our team acting like them. Just because you might be able to back up something doesn't mean you should be talking.

You'd have to define 'good majority' then. Semantics would tell you that any sentence containing 'majority' is 51%.

I simply don't believe that if you interviewed 92000 in Tiger Stadium that they would bust out
N Bombs,
Mfer,
etc on camera.

Here's an idea....:

Don't generalize LSU fans, or any fan for that matter, by taking one interview. It is so similar to Nancy Pelosi's daughter doing a documentary at a Mississippi Walmart and getting "just what she needs" to make a headline.

Seriously, how did this thread evolve into the majority of LSU fans acting like 'that guy'?

"I think his point was valid. Let me spell it out for you. There are a lot of racist people in the south still even to this day."

Let me get this back on topic since the original post had nothing to do with racism, that's just ya'lls excuse for disagreement.......I bet all those white racist folk don't have a problem with Eric Reid

Valid point for sure. Many just don't like the actions of TM7. I think most of those people are just old and just want the player to act like their heroes acted. You know the people that watch NFL games and wish players would just hand the ball to the ref after they score.

I was a HUGE fan of Deion Sanders and I am a huge fan of Tyrann. As it was mentioned earlier, I'm not sure how anybody who knows Tyrann's story can honestly dislike the guy.

A big % of LSU's fan base are conservative white people who have about 0% in common with TM7. Most of these people cant even accept Obama as president and hes a much more clean cut and sharper guy than TM7... LSU football creates cultural blurs unseesn in everyday society. The fact that dude is praised buy 92,000 hunting , fishing, republican, purple and gold confederate flag flying people is a modern miracle.

Interesting point, but I would hope that in this day and age people would look beyond race. It has more to do with culture.

I personally found Tebow's antics somewhat annoying, jumping up and down, drawing attention to himself, but it got results.

Traditionally no matter how savagely an athlete performed on the field, he was expected to be a gentleman off the field, but that has changed in recent years.

As a fomous athlete once said "I'm not a role model... Just because I dunk a basketball doesn't mean I should raise your kids.
Charles Barkley

So do we expect HB7 to be a role model or do we want to enjoy watching him just as the ancient Romans enjoyed watching their gladiators in combat? They were considered the lowest of the low, while at the same time cheered on by thousands and thousands of spectators. The gladiators who were skillful enough to gain many victories reached a heroic status among the people, but the rest were treated as scum.

So as long as he keeps on making plays, do we really care what he has to say?

"You mean the game that ended with a giant brawl because of all the shite talking going on afterward?"

Key point being "afterward", afterward being post 40-3 asswhooping.

What's funny is how many LSU fans can't be objective on the matter. Ya'll had a lot to say about Spurrier when he was skullfricking us 56-3 all those years and cracking jokes about it, Nick Saban makes a coonass joke and all of South Louisiana has a stroke, teabagger does his deal and people want to make him a sex offender but when Tyrann makes an arse out of himself for everyone to see it's cool because he plays for LSU. Ya'll need to check ya'lls shite at the door.

Hows that for you D Stone.

And of course all LSU fans do not feel like that guy, but you would be lying to yourself if you do not believe that the percentage who do is somewhat high

I like Mathieu because I'm an LSU fan. If I were a fan of a different team (or if HB played for a different team), I probably wouldn't like him at all.
