LSU quarterback from 1945 to 1948, Tittle was drafted in the first round by the All-America Football Conference and played for the Baltimore Colts. Determined to finish his degree, Tittle returned to LSU in the off-season and completed his bachelor's degree in health, safety and physical education in 1950.
