But Nkemdiche, the nation’s No. 1 prospect, told the Atlanta Journal Constitution that Clemson needs to offer Grayson defensive back Ryan Carter to “seal the deal” with Nkemdiche’s recruitment.

“I am waiting on Clemson to offer Ryan; when that happens, it’s locked … it’s a done deal … it’s over,” Nkemdiche told the AJC.

Sorry, but no 18 year old recruit is worth that.

Solid Verbal tweet:

To paraphrase my favorite @BrandonHuffman Prison Break analogy, Dabo is being led around holding a recruit's pocket lining.

accurate.

I know we always have the "We didn't want him anyway" tards come out after we don't get a recruit, but if this is how it will go down, then it's legitimate in this case.

so I guess the question is, if Dabo puts his foot down and RK leaves, do his other friends lose their scholarships?

Dam..I can't believe how he is running Clemson's recruiting now...the kid is good but not so good that you offer his whole dam high school team...that's crazy...Dabo must be desperate if he does it. Even if we had the room, I can guarantee you Lesticles wouldn't stoop so low...

Some of them will. But Dabo was college teammates with RN's coach, so it won't matter. He'll still get anyone he wants from that school like he always has.

No player is worth putting 3 or 4, or even really 1 or 2 true deadweight guys on scholarship. Numbers are too tight and depth is too important for teams that truly want to compete for a championship. No one player, save for Cam Newton, is truly program changing (and Auburn wasn't a bad program anyway). Clemson is assuring mediocrity by taking too many guys that have no chance of contributing.

I am very curious as to why RK has been MIA at all of the major recruiting events over the summer. I understand he has nothing to prove, but still.

Exactly, and that player comes along once every 15 years, and there is no way in hell to know if a player would turn out that good.

4 teammates for 1 RN. Thats a sound strategy if you ask me.

BTW, I bet all the other recruits that Clemson signs is not going to like RN.

This would be 5, huh?

Wayne Gallman
David Kamara
Robert Nkemdiche
Nick Schuessler
This kid.

As an aside, I love this comment from a Bama fan:

quote:

Good riddance. Nick Saban didn’t want this kid anyway. He is overrated. Saban backed off on his recruiting because he found several guys who were better. If Saban and Bama had wanted Nkemdiche he would already be signed sealed and delivered to T-Town. He is just an overrated prima donna. RTR!

What's gonna happen when this prima donna gets to campus and turns out to be a bust or sustains a serious injury and never pans out?

That would 5 worthless recruits in one class. 20% of your entire recruiting class.

This will be Bama's excuse as to why they didnt land him. Just like Keanon Allen.

Gallman is a pretty legit RB. Clemson would take him with or without RN. Kamara is mediocre but he may eventually contribute. Schuessler isn't any good but I don't think he is on scholarship, could be wrong though. I think Dabo so far can justify it, but I don't know who this new kid is.

Actually, Wayne Gallman is pretty good and highly recruited. I think he's a 3-4 * range player.
