I have not. Forgot to set the game to record before I left for Florida. Couldn't find a link on 101GGs.

But I've read what a few reputable United bloggers have said and they think he deserved to be sent off. Probably right, but in a 3-0 or 4-0 match (wasn't sure when it was exactly), I'm not that surprised that it wasn't a red.

Again, I haven't seen it so I can't speak to it directly, but most of the reaction (even from United fans) seems to be that we got away with one.

If it was last man, he should've gotten a red, no matter what the score or time left was.

At the end of the day, it really didn't matter that much...but it's just probably another in a long line of decisions that rival fans can point to.

He would have been suspended. So IMO, it does matter. I knows he's not a big part of United's success, but it gives Fergie one less option.

In addition to being the last man I think he also has to deny the opposing player a clear goal scoring oppurtunity. I think that part of the equation is what kept Smalling on the pitch.
