Definitely agree about the walks, we need to take more....although it seems most people on here complained all season about not being agressive enough, wanting everyone to swing early in the count, etc. This season was the lowest walk % since 2008.

However, it was also the lowest strikeout % since 2005.

It was the lowest strikeout rate because we hit into a league high for double plays, and we ran into a ton of outs on the bases. Teams usually didn't have to pitch for 3 outs in an inning against us.

Don't forget they are hitting with wood bats. Even though the BBCOR bats are deadened down some, it still is a world from wood. It takes some time to adjust, especially after playing 60 games already. I take the numbers with a grain of salt. Yocum and McCune are REAL cause for concern, but guys like Gleen give me hope. I also think Aaron Johnson may be scaring the frick out of some league batters. Looks like he doesn't even know where the ball is going!
