Me too man. Been awhile since we've had a few beers and watched some fussball.
And you know I'm feeling for you bud. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

and Dede would be my top choices but I like de Vrij as well.

I read today, that he may be moving to Corinthians.. I always thought he was a pipe dream..
My hope is still for Benatia, but I havent seen us linked to him since last fall..
I'd also be interested in Kjaer, I know he's had some struggles, but he and Agger work so well together for Denmark..

Apparently the Kop is singing "Justice for the 96" during Thatcher's minute of silence.

Kjaer really has all the skills to be a very good CB. I wanted it to work out for him in Roma; he's such a likeable guy and shows a lot of passion.
The drawback is that his problem seems psychological. Roma is unfortunately one of the worst places in the world to play/manage as far as non-stop pressure and negativity from the fans/media but I've never it get to a player as badly as it did to Kjaer. (Well, maybe Osvaldo in a different way.)
After one huge error in a derby, Kjaer just kind of wilted and played so afraid of making errors the rest of the season. He'd always send out long apologetic "tweets" to the fans after every mistake that were quite "heartfelt" but more uncomfortable than anything else. . . .
I would love to see him go to Liverpool and succeed but he may be the type player who's better off on an "underdog" with less pressure.

To your point, maybe playing alongside his captain would give him that confidence... I recently read this quote after the past international break...
quote:
"Agger and I played a good game", he told bold.dk.
"He was there when I needed him to be and I was there when he needed me to be. It is a great feeling when this happens.
"It has been a good relationship between Agger and myself for some time. It was like that at the European Championship and I must say I am not surprised. When it works, it’s good."

what about Ogbana??? the CB that plays for Torino I believe?

I think he would be a tough, expensive pull out of Italy...
Ideally, I'd prefer the RCB to be paired up with Agger to be right footed, he's a lefty (I read up on this shite way too much)..

As would I.

Off the first page....
So plenty of reports to go around about Ashley Williams for £12 million. Some happy about it and some aren't. What are the thoughts fellas?

That goalkeeper had to have been on drugs.

This team pisses me off.

So freaking frustrated.
No reason at all we should have zero goals and less than 3 points combined the last two weeks against weak teams.
We are so inconsistent its not even funny.
On the plus side, at least we're not giving up goals - something we did way too easily earlier this year.

watched Ajax v PSV match... Ajax won 3-2 and prob knocked PSV out of the title hunt...
A note on a few of our transfer targets..
Toby Alderweireld looked solid at the back
Christian Eriksen was pretty good, scoring one very nice goal and assisting the match winner...
Also, although he wasnt spectacular and subbed off in the 70th minute, I'd still sign Viktor Fischer and loan him back for a year or two... he was in on goal and could have drawn a PK, ref didnt give it.
Our old friend Christian Poulsen should have been sent off in the first half... probably had 3 fouls he shouldve been carded for... he wasnt..

I liked all three as well but there is no way AJAX will let us get away with three, hell maybe even two of their players for the $$$ we want to spend. I really do hope we could get TA & CE though ... Vertonghen looked good at AJAX and transitioned well into the EPL, hopefully TA could do the same.

Suarez crying at the memorial.

For all the emotion and love it he seems to have for the club I would find it hard for him to leave this year ... next year with no CL, yeah maybe ... this year, no.

I dont think we'd go for all 3 (especially Victor Fischer, since he needs time to develop)... However, Ajax knows they are a selling club and both of the other two are gone this summer. If we meet their asking price and the players want to move to us, we could get them.
I like TA, still not convinced he is what we needs and his talent isnt to the degree of Vertonghen... But if we need to buy more than 1 CB, then maybe so...
Fischer is going to be the best of the bunch... if we had Russian blood money, Id buy him and let him stay at Ajax for a year and then loan him to a lower EPL club the following year... That wont happen..
