That was a stonewall penalty. He floored Gerrard and got a little bit of the ball following through. Coutinho wasn't offside on his first offside call when he'd have been one on one and probably scored. Sturridge was not offside for his goal, Tomkins was playing him onside. All of that said, we did not use the ball well enough and were plain wasteful.
Are you for real? Both offisdes calls were legit as shown through replay. Just a lot of butt hurt here. Of day or night, Suarez was owned by Collins for the majority of the match.
ETA: What about the handball no call on Suarez on the Sturridge no goal?
Also, you should look at the video of the no pk call on Gerrard.
Just after 1 minute.

It was a lucky tackle, but he definitely hit the ball before contact with Gerrard.

Apparently our U21s played an exciting match at Anfield today. Anyone have a link for highlights? I've found Gnabry's golazo and Adorjan's strike but nothing else. Figured I'd check here.

Interesting stuff from Rafa..

Rafa Benitez has told Marca he will "almost certainly" manage his former club Liverpool again at some stage.

Asked if he thought he would again manage the club at some point in his career, he replied: "I will return, almost certainly. What I do not know is when. My daughters and wife still live there."

It's interesting to how confident he is about that statement.

I think he means coming back to Liverpool, the city. Given his family is settled here.

Toby Alderweireld has stated he wants to play for Liverpool. He plays for Ajax and has made 119 appearances with 7 goals and has had 23 appearances for Belgium's senior squad. I've heard he'll cost anywhere from £7 million to £8million. Not quite sure if its already been discussed.

The Reds have had the highly-rated Belgium international watched in recent months as Brendan Rodgers considers his summer transfer targets.
With vice-captain Jamie Carragher retiring next month and uncertainty surrounding the futures of both Martin Skrtel and Sebastian Coates, bringing in defensive reinforcements is the manager’s priority.
Alderweireld, who has enjoyed an impressive season for the Dutch champions, is hoping he fits the bill. The 24-year-old has also attracted interest from Newcastle United but has made it clear he has no interest in a move to the North East.
“I do not want to play in an English club in mid-table,” said Alderweireld, who has one year left on his current contract in Holland and would cost around £7million.
“Unlike Newcastle, Liverpool meets my criteria.

Just came across an awesome Manchester United message board thread from 2010
It's about the possibility of signing Suarez. Some of the gems:
It's about the possibility of signing Suarez. Some of the gems:
quote:
This guy would be absolute class in a United shirt. He's not a cheater he has done everything within the laws of the game and was punished. All Gyan had to do as make his penal.
There isnt any manager or professional football player in the world that wouldnt want to have a teammate/top player who sacrafices himself for the good of the team!
quote:
If United buy Luis Suarez I will be over the moon with excitement. This is a player that is absolutely World Class. He will make United supporters forget about Carlos Tevez and he will make us get over the disappointment of Berbatov's abysmal performances in our beloved United shirt. Luis Suarez is young and if he comes he will become a true United legend. If he costs 20 mill. then, at this time, he will be an absolute bargain!
quote:
You shouldn't even call yourself a United supporter. Who cares what Suarez did to Ghana. This is England; this is Manchester United.
quote:
I think he has had a very good world cup in my opinion even that handball shows he would do anything for his team i like that

And what are they saying now?

I think he's a good player, but IMO, too much like a right footed Agger...
I am hoping for a more physical presence... my 2 choices would be Dede or Benatia (Udinese)..
