Bruno Martins Indi (21) is a CB/LB at Feyenoord... He is very highly thought of... in the mold of Jaap Stam.. pace, power, ball skills..
Ideally he would push Enrique at LB, but long term would be an Agger replacement at LCB..

That's kind of how I would feel if I were you. I feel about the same way about the potential of David Villa to Arsenal. If we could've gotten him in January to help us secure 4th, I'd have been all for it. But in the summer, it seems like their are younger, better options available.
How much are you guys going to have available to spend?

If you believe the ITKs (I dont really), anywhere from £20-40mm + sales..
All things point to this being a very important window from Rodgers and that he's focused on getting his targets a) or b)
**Just reading now that BR is willing to keep Andy Carroll on next year and let him fight it out... I think thats just a ploy to let potential suitors know we arent going to take chump change for him...

That's the truth ... especially with Suarez on the line.

I'll play.
Eriksen, absolutely need a CB, and a DM. I think having another LB would be great, but realistically, it would be hard to upgrade from Enrique, while we have Robinson who just needs games (should probably be loaned out). Also, it would be nice to add another forward/winger who could add depth most likely leading to Assiadi leaving and possibly even Downing even though he's proven versatile and has been playing better. I think who leaves could be determined by who we buy, but I think we have to loan out Suso and Coates if not sell him. I'd loan out Shelvey to see if he's worth keeping while bringing in new midfielders, or if he can prove to be a valuable sell. I like Skrtel and he's been too valuable to us in the past for me to think he's truly gone to shite and not just in poor form, but bringing in a new CB would show him that he needs to step his game up.
As for Xabi, I think he would be nice to have from a leadership standpoint, but he would be more of a luxury to have. It's not very realistic to think Gerrard will be playing every minute of every game again, so he would be great to add in there, but would we be willing to spend that much money on another aging midfielder who likely wouldn't be playing regularly.

This would be nice to drive to Finn's (or the establishment of your choice) on match day... and I'm typically not a sports themed vehicle kinda guy..

Seems like paying big bucks (even if not in the transfer fee, with wages) for a 31yo MF (32 in Nov) when you've already got a 32yo MF mainstay (33 in May) isn't the wisest idea for a team that's rebuilding.
I disagree. Anytime you have an opportunity to acquire a player who just made the TOTY, you do it no questions asked. It's kind of like the NFL draft where you always hear that the best player available should be drafted instead of settling for a worse player who simply fills a "hole." Yes, LFC have other areas where they could improve, but Xabi should be acquired if LFC are in a position to acquire him.
Some think he will go back to his hometown club Real Sociedad. Makes sense - the guy has literally won almost every trophy imaginable for club and country. Isn't too farfetched to think he would like to go to a club where he can be a part of a rebuilding process.

Well we qualify for this as well.

Ben Arfa is awesome but not so great in the locker room.

I've read articles and interviews in the past year that suggest he has matured a lot over the past couple of years...
That was one of the supposed knocks on Sturridge and he appears to settled into the team quite well... on the field and in the locker room..

I'd be perfectly okay with this

I would be ok with that... but still feel another DM is a must!
