I feel so helpless not being able to watch this. It's miserable.

Starting off a little better. Defense looking more solid winning the ball back quicker. Passing still a little sloppy, but starting to look more threatening.

How do we keep shooting ourselves in the foot every time we get our hopes up.
Starting Allen was disastrous. And Skrtl has been absolutely awful.

Wow, we just let Jay Rodriguez pick up the ball at midfield and walk it in... for the most part..

Two steps forward, one step back.

frick this shite. Glad I didnt watch. What a waste of time.

Just an off day for the entire team. Guaranteed the most disappointing is Allen and Skrtl. I dont understand why Allen would start when its obvious his shoulder is bothering him enough to have numerous poor performances. Skrtl just looked totally lost out there.Gerrard and Suarez both looked off this game as well. Overall a horrible performance by everyone.

yep,we dont really have the depth to overcome our best players having off days...
BR needs to shore up the spine in the summer... that 3rd goal was laughable...
Well, atleast i can go outside and drown my sorrow with the other thousands of people walking by...

Ladies and gentlemen, this is how you piss away your top 4 hopes.

Wow just wow. Almost as if they have given up on the possibility of Europe. It was like the exact opposite of heart. Thru the motions.

This is why we can't have nice things...

Highlights were bad to watch.
I don't understand why we can't play more consistent. I don't expect our best each week, but you'd think with the opening there for us to put pressure on the higher table teams, we'd at least show up.
I think we can pretty safely say that Skyrtel is gone.
Summer priority is on another CB (in addition to a goal scorer). Or do we now just say F it now and play Coates or someone and see if they can grow into it?

I haven't been on the anti-Skrtel bandwagon, but after this game, count me in. He just hasn't played the same as last year and looks like he hasn't adjusted to the system. He sits back too much instead of attacking or trying to keep the high line, or when he does attack, it seems like he always gets beat. We do have Coates, Wisdom, and Kelly to play CB when he gets healthy, but I'd be surprised if we still didn't go out and get somebody serviceable to play there during the summer window.
Along with CB, it's pretty apparent we need another CDM, but I haven't been hating on Allen all season either. Today was just all too evident that we need another player with the "destroyer" mentality. Hell I feel like they don't even have to be that great, but somebody that you could pair with a Allen or Henderson to take some of the pressure off them while giving Lucas a break. Finally, I'd still be in for looking for a LB if they don't think Robinson can handle the role or a an AM *cough*Eriksen*cough* or versatile Winger if we get rid of Downing, but I'd be okay with keeping him. He's proved serviceable even if he maybe shouldn't be starting regularly.
/end rant

I dont mind keeping Skrtel, because I think he is a solid defender in the EPL and for continuity... We just need someone to come in and challenge him. If he goes, we'll need two at a minimum and possibly 3... Coates is going to want/need a lot of playing time next year gearing up for the WC. I cant see him staying.. loan or sell..
Heaven forbid Barca actually come in for Agger, too...
