He started out brilliantly for us, scoring 3 goals in the span of a week or so, then was nowhere to be found. Then we he did get to play, he gets his beautiful face smashed in and is out again. As a matter of fact, he hasn't been seen since. I think he just needs more time to mesh and could really do well in a holding position alongside Lucas. He's stated himself that he's more comfortable there and it would allow him to pull the strings from the back and allow Stevie to push up the field more. Just my two cents though

Yeah, on paper you would think that Lucas/Sahin would make a perfect combo to play in the double pivot protecting the back four...

It seems BR prefers to only use one holding MFer... Which I cant really complain there, although against some of the better attacking sides we'll see the 2... but it looks like he prefers Lucas/Allen... I like Sahin's passing range to Allen's.. We also saw Allen/Sahin when Lucas was hurt and I didnt think that worked well at all..

Sahin is a decent player. I'm indifferent whether he stays or leaves at this point. I'd rather not spend the ~13m on him if it was up to me.

I remember telling HH before the season starts that Sahin would struggle to find a spot in anything but our Europa squad because our midfield is virtually set in stone every match (if Lucas, Allen, Gerrard are healthy).

I would agree, especially since Allen was BR's "guy"

I'm kind of indifferent, too.. Especially if Henderson keeps progressing... I'd rather a big physical midfielder (Wanyama) and a #10 (Eriksen) in the summer... I also really like James McCarthy at Wigan

I just don't see where Sahin fits into our midfield. He's lazy in defense and is slow on the ball. There's no denying his talent, but I've been severely underwhelmed when watching him. I don't see the point of spending good money on a Europa/cup player..

I think Lucas, Allen, Gerrard is our best midfield. I think it still has room to improve even more when Lucas finds his full passing range again.

Shelvey might be a good contributor in a couple seasons, but I think he's been a waste of space most of the season so far. I don't see what he offers us right now.

I'm fond of Henderson particularly because of his work rate. He's a great substitute because he will give everything he has for the club. His touch isn't the greatest and he seems to shite the bed when in front of goal though.

yeah, hypothetically, I'd be interested to see what Sahin could do given a good run of games, we just dont have that luxury right now...

Shelvey should be starting Europa and Cup games for now... I think BR likes him because he isnt afraid to shoot the ball...

My issue is, he seems to prefer Allen higher up the pitch than Gerrard, but Allen doesnt seem to offer any creativity or scoring threat...

I don't think I've ever seen a single player mis-hit so many good scoring opportunities.

My issue is that he is so loyal to certain players. It's a good and bad trait.

Don't know if its been posted or not, but apparently Sturridge took the pay cut and told his agent to quit the bullshite because he wanted the LFC move. If true, would be the kind of commitment we need.

Yeah, I'm hearing he will be "debuted" at Anfield tomorrow before the match and is penciled in already for Mansfield Town this weekend... May all be BS though...

Sounds like he is looking for a loan deal to me. Which I'm fine with as long as QPR pays the majority of his wages.

Harry is right, Cole is great to have around a club. I'd love to keep him if we had the money. He has a fantastic attitude and is a good influence on the kids. I'd imagine he would like to continue playing - so maybe there is some kind of deal to be worked out. We'll see.

As for Sneijder - I'd obviously love to have him. It's a bit of a pipe dream though. And I'd want us to cut off Sahin's loan deal early and put all of his wages towards Wesley. We'll see what happens but I certainly won't get my hopes up in the least bit.

I'll admit, I dont know much about Sturridge other than he seems to have all the talent to be a top striker in the EPL... as witnessed at Bolton and when given PT at CFC. Ive heard his attitude is the big question mark with him, but I dont really have much insight there...

I know its just words, but he sounds like he has the right attitude in his first interview LINK

PT should not be an issue here, I think he will get plenty...

Agree for a third time is a charm

I think we need to continue giving him his start so he will progress. He needs to mature but I don't believe he has been a wastse of space as you say. I believe he can be a solid contributor now and years to come but believe you need to carefully select what matches he plays and don't put him in to many situations to fail.

I think he and Shelvey are very much the same but two sides of the same coin. Both of there work rates are really good. Both like to get on the ball and push foward. The difference I see between the two are as follows:

Shelvey is the shooter type, whereas Hendo is more of the passer/distrubutor. Where Shelvey is better Hendo lacks & vice versa.
