he needs to go in january

Who the frick wants him? He's on like £70-80k/week and he was by far the worst player in the stadium today. At least Joe Cole was invisible for the most part before being subbed off. That's almost £200k a week we spend on those assholes. Swansea's entire starting 11 may not earn that much.

Just finished watching the match. Completely disappointing. This was the one competition we stood a legitimate chance in, oh well.

Cole needs to get the frick out..even before Downing. At least Downing can produce a goal once in a while..Cole can't even go a full 90 and he is on 100k+.

Hard to really be sympathetic to LFC when a squad like that is fielded. Our squad is very small, and leaving the League cup may be the best thing for us. Idk.

We need to make a back up signing in January at striker. Period.

I was watching a replay today of the Galaxy v Isidro Metapan (El Salvador) in CCL... Luis' older brother was on that team and he scored...

Let's hope Theo doesn't have many more games like the one he had against Reading. He can come to LFC and have the central role he wants.

Just saw this linked on the LFC reddit page.

If this year's kit is as good as it is, I wonder what they did with the next year's one?

To be honest, after seeing what they are capable of... I'm scared...

No shite. Talk about a mixed bag.

ETA: However, I would hope that Warrior learns through sales statistics that the shite they pulled on the charcoal gray and purple kits is just not going to cut it.

Hell yes. I would love to have him.

Among the other rumored names, I'd stay the hell away from Sturridge.

I like the prospect of Sterling-Walcott-Suarez.

Walcott can have his central role at LFC. I imagine it would be a pretty fluid attack. All 3 are capable of playing any of the front 3 positions, and I think that's something Rodgers really fancies. I think he tried to do that with Borini, but ultimately he was just useless when in wide positions. Walcott and Suarez are both exceptional with their positioning and movement, and I think they have the potential to really forge a good partnership similar to when Luis played alongside Huntelaar.

We wont be stealing anything. It's no secret that Walcott wants to stay, but if AFC don't resign him, getting a few mil for him in January is better than letting him walk in the summer, right?

Read today that he has now been removed from all marketing material in the club's shop windows.

Speaking of Huntelaar.... Are we to assume that he will be a Red next summer?

I ask because I've only been vaguely paying attention to these premature transfer rumors.

He is one of our "targets" but I think a lot of what happens in the summer depends on who we get in the winter. I wouldn't expect to get Huntelaar if we get Walcott.

Yeah, another part of the problem is that I think we are offering him 75k/week, and the rumor from you all is 100k/wk.

Not to mention he grew up a pool fan. I'm thinking there's about a 70% chance he leaves in January, but I'm hoping his recent form will continue in league play, possibly with a chance up top in a few games and then we offer him the same contract (in which case I think he'll stay, but who knows really)

Maybe it's just me, but I cant see Rodgers putting Walcott in the middle over Luis...

I can see maybe a flexible front 3 (what you said)...

I'd like to see suarez-huntelaar-walcott

getting both of those guys for under £10mm each, would be good business..
