eam news
Arsenal Squad: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Cazorla, Diaby, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Arteta, Podolski, Giroud, Mannone, Koscielny, Ramsey, Santos, Coquelin, Walcott, Gervinho, Djourou.
Southampton Squad: Davis, Gazzaniga, Richardson, Butterfield, Clyne, Fox, Shaw, Yoshida, Hooiveld, Fonte, Seabourne, Stephens, Chambers, Ward-Prowse, Do Prado, Chaplow, Cork, De Ridder, Ramirez, Lallana, Schneiderlin, Puncheon, Hammond, Davis, Lambert, Lee, Rodriguez, Mayuka.
Diaby in the squad so that is a good sign. I dunno if I would risk him today with the games coming thick and fast. Ramsey will probably start today. This could be his chance to show how much he has improved since last season against a weaker opposition.

I don't know, the rumors are that coq will start in diaby's spot

quote:Yea just saw that too. I hope it is true. I want to see Coquelin get a run out and see how handles himself. Because right now if Arteta goes down he would start as the deepest mid.

Gervinho through the middle y'all. Giroud on the bench.

No surely Podolski will move into the CF position.

He's been playing through the middle in preseason and practice. John Cross reporting he'll play through the middle today. Was so bold as to say bet on him to be first scorer. Apparently he's looked good...I'm unconvinced. This could have been a good game to jump start Giroud.

The way @arsenal released the squad, looks like Gervinho through the middle was right.

Giroud comes on in 75th minute.

We looked great going forward today. One and two touch stuff. Great combination play. Cazorla is a little maestro. Podolski is going to be a real threat going forward. Pretty much everyone played well. Coquelin wasn't flashy but showed he has a bit of quality. Ramsey was great after coming in as a sub. Theo scored but he was the only player who didn't look good. Szczesny did not play well at all and cost us a goal. Maybe it is rust but he needs to get his head straight. The defense was solid as usual. Gibbs provided a big threat down the left side. All in all great performance. Too bad we couldn't get Giroud a goal but besides that we have nothing to complain about.

We looked like we could rape any team in the league. Szcznesy has to get his head together. His clearances were awful as well.
