I recently bought some Dietz & Watson all-beef hot dogs in natural casing at Albertson's, and they were pretty good--different from most other hot dogs I've had.
They weren't in the hot dog section though, I found them near the deli next to the gourmet cheeses and Sara Lee pre-sliced cheeses.

Whole Foods is at times very anal retentive. In STL I could buy live Dungeness crabs for half or less the price of WF pre-steamed crabs.

bullshite. They used to have them in the glass case. Sorry for your troubles.
No they didn't have them in the case case full of fresh sausages. I did get a couple pounds of fresh italian/provolone sausage.
Like I said, the butchers looked at me like I was out of my mind because I was looking for gourmet or fresh hot dogs.

Not exactly what you are looking for, but these are my go-to hot dogs now. I get them at whole foods.
They are uncured and taste great, but they are also the lowest in sodium of any hot dog I can find.

You would have to call and order them but Omaha Steaks has a fantastic hot dog.

Too bad there is no Cochon Butcher in BR. The one in Nola makes some amazing hot dogs.

Whole Foods Buffalo Dog, in the meat case.
I also like those Applegate organic grass-fed beef dogs.
The Great Organic Hot Dog
Either of these are hard to beat especially grilled and topped with mustard and kraut. I don't know if the BR Whole Foods carries them though.

Whole Foods definitely has what you are looking for, but if you only want one for yourself...go to Frankie's Dawg House.

I bought some Nathan's a couple weeks ago, they were awesome, but not fat.
If you live by a Brookshire's they sell the short fat Nathan's dogs.
