I forgot about Mike London. Very good choice as well. Really like him as a coach.

Mario Cristobal.
I think he's just a shade away from a big job. I think he ends up somewhere like Louisville if/when Strong leaves.

Just stay away from Brian Van Gorder...

For drinking. Not fricking other bitches while he's married.
The continuum on those 2 issues are eerily similar.

The energy of youth. He's only 40 and has a solid 20 years ahead of him.

I think this is a positive. He's running the show...everyone else (alum/donors/etc.) need to stay out of the way.
Also Vandy displayed a very good D which is what Hogs need. His recruiting philosophy may be for the better in Fayetteville. He can work with O skill players. He is a 'gettable' candidate. I think he would be a very good pick.

True. He has no commitment to one lady though. Holgorsen is a pimp.

I agree on Franklin. He is really growing on me as a candidate after rewatching some Vandy games and seeing his recruiting success.

I think he's ready for a better job than Louisville. I've heard from some guys in the business that say he's one of the sharpest minds out there, and he's very organized. I think he could handle it.

Not a bad list, but I wouldn't want this guy (Dana) anywhere near Arky if I were a fan...
He's a soap opera waiting to happen...count on it.

London is another guy I think Tennessee will take a long hard look at.
I think London, Strong, and Smart ( ) are the three most likely candidates here.
There are obviously some longshots like Gruden, but I would think those three would be the the most likely for us.
I really, really hope we don't hire Kirby though.

I thought it telling that when he was in Stillwater he lived in the hotel on campus. Told me he was a one and done guy.
When all the reports about him came out in WV, I was pissed that I never partied with here. We could have gone out to Tumbleweed and slayed some Freshmen chicks. When I worked at a club in Fayetteville, coaches Chris Vaughn and Tracy Rocker would come out from time to time. Vaughn chased arse, Rocker just chilled and talked sports with me.

Vandy's problem was they weren't used to winning so sometimes didn't. He could change that...or go to Hogs and start winning off the bat. And yes, he would recruit extremely well I think, I agree.

I'd like for him to be. Make their fans good and miserable again.
Wonder if Troy Calhoun at Air Force is going to come up anywhere? Has NFL experience. Has taken Air Force to a bowl every year he's been a HC there. Offensive guy.

You have a coach Tenn. fan. Love the one your with..... for a very long time. Please.
I'm adding a tier, there was a group of coaches I considered adding but didn't really think they'd get much press about the opening nor did I think they could be hired so soon after taking their current job.

Less than 6 months left for Dooley.

If I was AD my initial call list would be:
1. Chris Petersen
2. Charlie Strong
3. Mark Dantonio
4. Dana Holgorsen
5. Greg Roman
6. Steve Sarkisian
7. James Franklin
8. Mike London
9. Art Briles
10. Butch Davis
11. Garrick McGee
Most of those are long shots at best but you still have to make them say no.
