Will we be able to pull this guy from USC territory? We don't have a very good history with CA kids. This guy is a beast and in his video he is unblockable. It would be difficult to find better DT video anywhere else.

He's a stud. I have my doubts about getting away from the west coast but it's worth a shot. We're going to land 3-4 more of these stud DL on the board and at this point, while we all have our favorites, I really don't care which ones. They're all high quality prospects.

Oregon has a comfortable lead at the moment.

I don't doubt it, but I don't understand how a DT would go to Oregon over LSU. Ngata was their last good DT and that was 8 years ago. They have one 1st rounder in the past five drafts. Plus the weather sucks.

I hate Oregon and hope that they get hammered by the NCAA so they lose all of their good recruits. Just telling it like it is. I've been following his recruitment for about 6 or 7 months now. It's pretty common knowledge that he's an Oregon lean for people who have followed it closely. I would love if Vanderdoes goes to UW. Tosh Lupoi sent him 47 hand written letters in one day not too long ago, so he's obviously a priority for us too.

On the other hand, if you want good news, it sounds like Pagano is all SEC at the moment and you guys have a great shot at him.

I agree that Oregon's weather is depressing but I have to say that they have facilities that are second to none, very hot chicks on campus and probably the best selection of weed in the world. Their recruiting does surprise me. That Nike money just keeps rolling in.

He's a west coast kid likely going to a west coast school. It's not surprising. The culture over there isn't close to what we have here.

It wouldn't surprise me to see that Cali QB we have committed go elsewhere too.

He named his current 3 leaders as Nebraska, Penn St, and LSU. Not sure how much that means

quote:

What are your current top schools? "Right now I know for sure three schools that will get an official visit from me; LSU, Nebraska, and Penn St., I am not sure who the other two schools will be," says Vanderdoes.

How do you mean. They are very passionate about their football but the culture is just different. Very healthy environment of hiking, biking and other outdoor activities. Healthy food and exercise. It appeals to some kids.

Even looks like a beast in shorts and a tee shirt.
Video where he goes 9-0 against the top OL recruits at the Oregon NFTC

Maybe but if you could take a free trip anywhere why go to Nebraska, Happy Valley, and Baton Rouge?

I think he's serious about the trips, also means he's not trying to stay close to home. All three schools are predominately solid programs, with an emphasis on defense

Both #OU offers. RT @rivalsmike Haw. DT Scott Pagano told me today he KNOWS he is better than Montravious Adams. Both @ US Army Bowl in Jan.

He's already visited all of the schools he's interested in on the west coast. He's probably going to be one of those guys that unofficially visits schools in his area and then takes officials to schools far away.
