It really wasn't that bad at all. I haven't done any form of woodworking since I finished high school about 8 years ago. As long as you have the proper tools and a little common sense it's pretty easy.

On another note if someone was interested in buying, what would you deem as a far price? I've had several people ask to name a price but I'd have no idea where to start and I don't really want to scare them off. They're built with a 94 quart Igloo Marine chest, not knowing shite about wood working I gather old cypress is worth a pretty penny, and build time is about 5-6 hours or so. Thoughts?

I think I'm going to try and build one. We have all the tools I would need, between me and my Dad but would just need to find some old fence boards or old cypress. I enjoy building stuff, just suck pretty bad at it.

Go to Goodwood Hardware or a store like that and price them there. Then add a premium for the old cypress.

I think my dad sells them for $300, if memory serves me correct. He built one for a benefit we did for prostate cancer last year and we auctioned it off and it went for $1,200.

Run it through a planer- unless you're after the older look. I like both and just sharing a thought that came to mind.
