I was there and remember it vividly. The student section was packed early before the rest of the stadium and some visitors from the Florida section came all the way to the student section and held up a huge sign made out of a sheet--I think it said "Work 'Em Silly Gators" or something of that sort. An LSU student runs up from behind grabs it and throws it into the student section. The sign is never seen again. The Florida fans go to the LSU police, but what were they going to do? Guess they told them that it was a stupid thing to do.

This is how I remember it also. I also seem to recall a few students ripped the sheet up and wore it as bandanas.

Student section went nuts. I had been telling my roommate that we had no shot at winning all week. After that happened I told him we would win. He still gives me shite about that.
