Flouro just sucks

I'm sorry, but I just cannot use it. On spinning, it tries to leave the reel all at once, and sounds like steel cable passing through the eyes. Large loops form and it just sucks the fun out of fishing with an UL. I even went down to 6lb thinking that would solve all previous issues.
On casting, it backlashes 10X easier than quality mono. I am going to give baitcasting a little more time, but I'm done on spinning.

yea i use straight braid. Only use flouro for leader material.
ETA on casting rods. I need to get a little spinning rod for freshwater.

I have zero problems using the NanoFil in clear water fwiw

Almost bought a spool of nanofil yesterday. I had a hand full of saltwater lures already so I didn't. I want to spool some on my UL soon

The pros also respool that shite everyday. I was a marshall at Toledo Bend and stayed at the same camp as KVD,Davey Hite, and a bunch more. They sat in their boats every afternoon and changed that shite out using giany free spools of line. I tried on cranking rod and worm rod it sucks. Berkly Big Game is all I use, when not using Suffix Braid.

I'd like to have half of the gear they get rid of after one day.
I haven't tried it, but I'm completely satisfied with Yo-Zuri. If it ain't broke...

Bass fisherman love the stuff, but I haven't had anything I fish that I'm not happy with fishing on either mono or power pro

I use it for fishing worms and such and love it

I used the nano on Toledo in super clear water, but used a leader. If I ever get back, I may fish it side by side with 4lb mono just to test. No idea if that bite is still going on though.

i use it for worm fishing. thats the only thing i like about it you can feel 10x better than mono. other than that it does kind of back lash more than momo.

Gotcha. I could see it being useful worm fishing...watching the line. I no longer bass fish very much though.

I still like flouro but I find a lower test it helpful. I do like to use Reel Magic on it and it actually seems to reduce the line memory as advertised. All flouro is not the same though. The more abrasion resistance the stiffer the line. I actually use the BPS fluro and like it for crankbaits, and for finese worm fishing. I use mono for spinnerbaits and for topwaters. I use braid for just about everything else.
I use my spinning set ups for live bait fishing enough that flouro would be a giant PITA.

Are we talking about flouro-carbon? And you spool you entire reel with it? Man you are TD rich! I only use it as a leader.

Prices have fallen recently, and yes, whole reel.

The added depth with a crank while using the same test line due to smaller diameter and a density greater than water, increased abrasion resistance to rocks and dock pilings, and the near zero stretch sensitivity of flouro make it ideal for certain types of fishing.

I use Fluoro on everything I can. I find it has far less memory than mono. If you're finding line jump off your spinning reel you have way too much line on there.
