The players are somewhat at fault but the buck stops with the coach. He recruits the players, he teaches the players, and he puts the player's name on the lineup card. It stops at the top.

SB was just a good scrappy team. They did not fear the crowd. They enjoyed the spotlight. Their hitters could care less who was pitching. They are aggressive at the plate and work the count. There are times we play too much small ball. A guy on second is scoring position. Don't waste an out just to have him at third. I understand avoiding the double play but be aggressive take a base or hit and run. Don't just give up outs. First pitch swinging usually only does their pitcher a favor. Get to the bullpen. SB earned those wins we need to be more aggressive at the plate next year.

how about giving SB pitchers credit as PM did. PM and Javi don't step up to the plate, players do. Good pitching will win out to good hitting everyday of the week.

You so called LSU "fans" are nothing but aholes. When the team wins, ya'll totally support the players, but when they lose, you blame the players, coach, etc. If you aholes can do better tham PM or the players, then why aren't your asses out there? In case you idiots don't realize it, I'm sure some players, in all sports for LSU, read this board. Ya'll are fricking losers who put down LSU because they lose. Some of ya'll need to get a life and realize that LSU loses to the better team.

The players are a reflection of the coaching they've received. If the hitting coach didn't step in to "instruct" his players to take more pitches against Stoney Brook after Saturday's game, then you assume the players have a green light to do things on their own. That's what I saw. Both are to blame, but you pay coaches to run the team.

I disagree with this. The ball will NOT find the bat. The players have to at least swing.

LSU was outhit 50-15 in the series.

Why is this the coaches' fault?
