Well then they should have just kept it this morning. Who knows what's going to happen later. I'm gonna be pissed if there's still rain after all this.
Oh and ESPNNEWS is 1244 in BR on Cox for me

Well if it clears up around 5, it might take them a while to fix the field. I hope it's not sloppy, I want a good clean game.

sooo....
if it rains tonight, how long of a delay before postponing it? I mean, we're looking at basically 10pm with no delays. Any stoppage pushes things back near midnight (if the tarp is involved). And Monday would be a disaster for most fans.
Again, just trying to see the benefits of this

Will the game be on ESPN3??

if they moved up the time, it'd be hard to reach everyone with tickets, who have left and gone home to wait until 4ish to head to the stadium.

Looks good right now but radar looks like more coming later this aftrnoon

quote:It was an NCAA decision. ESPN definitely wanted to play at 12:00 (or failing that, 4:00). They certainly didn't want to air the game on ESPNEWS at 7:00.
This is how that works. ESPN doesn't have a prime time regional to show tonight because UCLA won its regional in 2 games. Nobody other then LSU fans are watching the noon time game, and ESPN thinks there is a better then even chance that SB will be this years cinderella. So they want to air our game in that slot. The weather in BR is sunny and clearing, and this game could have been played at noon.

fatboydave, where is more rain? the radar is moving from West to East with slight Northeast movement, I don't see anything major in Lafayette. that is according to radarscope.

It'll rain again, but I think it'll clear up around 5ish
Posted on 6/10/12 at 1:52 pm to fatboydave
moving East, and that rain isn't much. probably aimed for 3 or 4 pm to Baton Rouge then gone by 5 or 6 pm, gives the Crew more time to get the field prepared.
