Question for baseball fans, how many of you thought

This team would make the cws in the preseason?
I for one did not with losing mahtook although I did think our pitching would be great.
Just curious as I asked this question before the bcs game vs bama regarding those who thought we would make it to the bcs title game.

They dont make it out of regional if committee does their job. But since a certain team in Hammond got left out I'm all in for LSU. but outside of miracles been a frustrating as frick series

I am an slu fan too but u didn't answer the question. Did u think cws or not? I thought they would host a regional and go on the road and lose in the SR.

People nationally keep referring to LSU as a "fixture" here in Omaha so you kind of expect them to make it every year. After all, I consider LSU a top 8 program in the nation. But not making it this year would be three misses in a row.

I expect a trip to Omaha every season. Sometimes they just fall a little short.

Don't get me wrong I want to win everything but gotta be realistic. Mahtook was our best offensive player all around and we lost him to mlb.

Do you think UCLA fans expect to go to Omaha every year? What about South Carolina fans? Miami fans? Texas? Rice? LSU? Do you see a trend there?

To be honest - im kind of nervous just being here. This is big time college sports and i'm way outta my league. I must say I did enjoy the Tiger fans attacks on the SB boards earlier in the week and really enjoy reading the posts here. One way or another i'll be gone forever tomorrow. Good Luck tomorrow.

Unlike the SB board, TD doesn't ban fans of other teams (even if they have a little smack talk fun). Which is why you see fans from all over posting on this board. Hang around...you will always be entertained...

, but some guys did not pan out - fields, yokum , jones not living up to the expectations - batting.

Before the Arkansas series my expectations were pretty low after what I had seen.
Still, if we were to lose a best of 3 at the Box to a No. 4 seed from Long Island with zero history I would have a hard time considering this season a success.
