I saw one of their leftys get called out on a check swing and thought it was a horrible call. I am not a fan of umps. They are so inconsistent with strike zones. And the zones vary from one ump to another. The plays on the base paths are usually more consistent.
My opinion on the play is I wish maneiri would quit putting our runners in motion bc lately the results are usually bad. Now tomorrow he may call some hit and runs that work and look like a genius. That's baseball I guess.

I don't mind us running the bases. Our aggressive baserunning helped against Oregon State (except for the retarded double steal). I still think a signal taking the double steal off was missed. I don't think Paul would call a double steal in that situation.
It's a basic part of baseball. You attempt steal and are safe then you are a genius. You attempt to steal and get caught and every single know-it-all in the seats "saw it coming".
BTW: This was just teased on ESPNU. "Why there is controversy coming out of Baton Rouge."
The controversy was starting Gausman in the 1st game and then starting him in the 2nd game.
