How does Stony Brook end up with more hitting talent than LSU?

The only reason LSU has gotten this far is Kevin Gausman + bullpen.
LSU has more talent on pitching, but I would trade our whole lineup for their lineup without hesitation.
Just a break down:
1b-Kevin Courtney vs. Mason Katz----ADVANTAGE LSU
2b-Maxx Tissenbaum vs. Jacoby Jones-ADvantage SB
3b-Willie Carmona vs. Tyler Hanover-Advantage SB
c-Pat Cantwell vs Tyler Ross-------Advantage SB
ss-Cole Peragine vs Austin NOla----Advantage LSU
LF-Goldstein vs. Rhymes------------Advantage SB
CF-Jankowski vs. Mcclusterfrick-----ADvantage SB
RF-Nivins/Intagliata vs. Edward----Advantage SB
So out of 8 positions, they have better talent in 6 of them. Some could argue Rhymes over Goldstein, but when you take power, fielding, and speed I give the advantage to Goldstein. PLus if you include Krause, they have a better DH than we do too.
How does LSU let that happen? Is it good coaching/recruiting from SB's hitting coach and incompetence from Javi? Or is it that Mainieri struggles to find hitting talent? Or is it pure dumb luck that SB has all those players at the same time?
Either way, I'm just so shocked at how we're outtalented by a #4 seed in the lineup. Pitching we have the obvious talent, but that can only take you so far. I'm nervous as frick with Eades going against these MLB talent hitters. HOpefully, the game ends like game 3 of the UC irvine super regional.

I would rather Ross over Cantwell. Similar players but Ross is 2 years younger.

One of the best teams in baseball, the texas rangers, disagree with you.

eta: this isn't fricking MLB. They are all gone in 4 years anyway. You sound like the retard who said Mainieri should have gotten the kid that went to Alabama instead of Mahtook because he stayed for 4 years.

tiger hitters are acting like some frat boys at a high school party flexing muscles ... i've been waiting to hear "OGRE, OGRE, OGRE!!" coming out of the dugout .. some of those swings remind me of a home run derby

LSU has better bat girls--Advantage LSU
Game. Set. Match.
Game. Set. Match.

Because Mainieri stopped recruiting and Javi only gets midgets and people with no power.

Shouldn't you still be serving your ban?

maybe they have an older team then we do so they have many polished veterans who are good baseball plays, this is what happens most the times with these cupcakes, they have a great year because they are an old veteran team. Don't be surprised in a year or two these guys don't even make it close to the regionals.

Ross wasn't even draft eligible this year.

was ross even eligible this year?
and if you are comparing where they got picked pre college, because that would also be wrong because ross had a great summer and improved greatly.

Oh. I thought you were taking a break for the postseason.
Carry on.
Carry on.

So 1 year > 3 years? All I was saying is that they are similar players but Ross will be around for another year or two and continue to improve.
