My ending:
Denzel goes to prison for the deaths from the flight caused by his drinking, even though he knows he didn't drink much the night before. Goodman visits him, talking to him through the clear glass at the prison over the phones. Some subtle hints from Goodman lead into a full out flashback reveal realized by both Denzel and the audience:
A mechanic tampers with the plane on the runway. He walks away, soon handing a small bag to a confused passanger, then immediately touching them. The camera follows the passenger, now with a purpose, onto the plane and all the way through the crash. The passenger dies, and now the camera is floating about the plane. It focuses in on a frightened, surviving passenger (Goodman). Goodman, now calm, goes back to the dead passenger and takes the bag that was given to him by the mechanic. Goodman walks up to Denzel's passed out body, takes a syringe full of alcohol out of the bag, and injects it into Denzel.
Denzel is shocked. Goodman smiles, nods, and sings...
"TIIIIIIIIMMMMEEEE... is on MY side... YES IT IS!"
