Is Mint.com legit?

Step 2 asks for my user id and pw to my bank accounts... don't like that. Any long time users of this site that can let me know how it's working?
I have a pretty rigid budget laid out on excel and track expenditures on the spread sheet. But a free online service seems less messy.

If you can search, there are about 15 threads on this over the last few months.
Of course you need to give passwords and such, how else is it going to calculate your numbers?
It is very legit and very safe.

I use it and like it. However they will send you a lot of useless emails if you don't change your contact preferences.

Like the "low account balance" notification I got when one of my checking accounts went below $400. Let me know when it's negative, mint. Until then chill out.

LOL @ poverty.
If any of them really bother you, it only takes about 2 minutes to readjust all of them.

Can you adjust the threshold. I want mine to alert me when it hits around 1500 so I don't get tempted to dip below that doing stupid shite like buying drinks lol
